The Eddie & The Kid Detectives books are fun transitional books for young readers.  These storytime books feature a higher word count than the average picture book.  Your kids will love following along as Eddie and his friends go off on their mystery-filled adventures.

BOOK ONE:
Open For Business

Eddie is tired of his ordinary life.  He wants to do something fun and exciting, something no one else in his family has ever done.  Then Eddie gets a great idea—he’ll start a detective squad, just like his favorite comic book superhero, Agent Dash.  He’ll try to get his friends to help him solve mysteries, but Eddie’s friends aren’t as excited about the idea as Eddie thought they would be.  Eddie is discouraged.  Who will join his detective squad?  When will they crack their first case?  Will Eddie’s great idea turn out to be a major flop, or a major success?    

BOOK TWO: 
The Case of the Missing Lunch

It’s almost Eddie’s birthday, and to celebrate, his mom has packed him his very favorite lunch for school.  When it’s finally time to eat, Eddie realizes that his special lunch has been stolen from the cabinet in the school lunchroom! Who would want to steal Eddie’s lunch?  This looks like a job for Eddie’s new detective squad! Join Eddie and his detective friends (Kevin and Sarah), as they set out to crack the case of the stolen lunch—and uncover a surprise in the process.

BOOK THREE:  The Case of The Missing Comic Book

Eddie’s friend Kevin is so lucky!  He is the proud new owner of an original Agent Dash comic book!  Agent Dash is Eddie’s detective role model and everyone’s favorite superhero!  Needless to say, Kevin is the envy of every kid in the third grade! But when Kevin's comic book goes missing, he is devastated!  

This looks like a job for Eddie and the kid detectives!  Will Eddie, Kevin, and Sarah be able to crack the case and find out what happened to the missing comic book?  Come along with Eddie’s super-cool detective squad and help them solve their latest mystery!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Alicia Voss is the published author of five novellas for kids and young adults (including the Tori Trilogy books, available on Amazon) and three romantic short stories, not to mention countless other works that are still collecting dust on her computer!  

Kids and writing are her life's passion, and she enjoys creating imaginary worlds populated with relatable characters for elementary-age children and teens alike.  

A professional ghostwriter and full-time freelance writer and editor, Alicia has been writing as a career for over three years--and writing in general ever since she could talk!

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR

Maulik Mehta is a Children's Book Illustrator whose diverse skill-set ranges from Story Designer to Animator.  His modern technique has allowed him to work on both corporate and creative projects.

Maulik has a strong artistic instinct that truly sets him apart from other artists.  As a master of character design, he can create extemporaneous illustrations.  He can also visualize a book to help him create characters based off of the author's story.   Some may confuse his talent with sorcery as his illustrations take form like magic, but if you look closely, you will see a true artist who enjoys the creative process and the characters that he brings to life.
